SENIOR DIRECTOR, SALES OPERATIONS

THE COMPANY:

Element Science, Inc. is a medical device and digital health company focused on developing solutions at the intersection of clinical-grade wearables, machine learning algorithms, and lifesaving therapies in order to address leading causes of death and hospitalization in patients with heart disease, primarily as they transition from the hospital-to-home. By putting the needs of patients and physicians first, our personalized digital devices, which are designed for function, comfort, and ease-of-use, aim to redefine the paradigm of care for these patients. Our first product, a wearable patch defibrillator, is initially targeted at treating the more than 500,000 patients in the US with an elevated temporary risk of potentially experiencing a lethal heart rhythm. SUMMARY OF ROLE:

Element Science, a cutting-edge start-up in the medical device industry, is revolutionizing the wearable defibrillator market. As we prepare to launch our groundbreaking product into the commercial space, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven professional to join our team as the Senior Director of Sales Operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic leadership in the planning and execution of commercial operations, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive go-to-market strategies for the wearable defibrillator product, considering market trends, competition, and regulatory requirements.
  • Sales Operations: Oversee all aspects of sales operations, including sales planning, forecasting, comp plans, and performance analytics. Drive initiatives to optimize the sales process and maximize revenue.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, and Customer Support, to ensure seamless coordination and communication in preparation for commercial launch.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify opportunities, assess risks, and inform decision-making. Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities.
  • Customer Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, KOLs, and stakeholders. Gather customer feedback to inform product enhancements and market strategies.
  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing commercial operations team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and customer-centricity.
  • Compliance and Quality: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards in all commercial operations activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Proven track record of successful commercial operations leadership, preferably in the medical device industry or a related field.
  • Experience in launching and commercializing medical devices is highly desirable.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Results-oriented with a focus on driving revenue and achieving business goals.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a dynamic start-up environment.

The salary for this exempt-level position will be based on experience and qualifications within an established pay range + annual bonus.
