Acara Solutions is seeking a PCB Soldering/Rework Specialist for our client in San Jose, CA!

We are seeking qualified candidates with:

  • Experience using a microscope for soldering.
  • Working knowledge of resistors and capacitors


What you will receive:

Type: Contract to Direct

Pay: Up to $26/hr. **Depending on experience

Hours: M-F Swing shift: 2:30pm-10:30/11:30pm

Here's what you'll do:


  • Responsible for reworking PCB assemblies and soldering as needed.
  • Responsible for soldering of fine-pitch surface mount and through-hole components in a lead-free (RoHS) assembly line using a microscope.
  • Soldering of cable assemblies
  • Regularly incorporating engineering change orders (ECO) on PCB assembles
  • Assisting the manufacturing department in the electro-mechanical assembly of system-level products
  • Perform simple SMT/through-hole removal/replacement of components
  • General electronics assembly as required (electro-mechanical)
  • Maintain a clean rework area and perform set-up/maintenance
  • Perform daily cleaning and light maintenance
  • Ensure all manufacturing, safety, and regulatory policies and procedures are implemented and always maintained.

Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:


  • Minimum 5 years' active experience soldering in fine pitch SMT and through hole soldering


Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of IPC Workmanship standards or certification in soldering
  • Proficiency in utilizing soldering iron, hot-air machines, and microscope
  • Experience in Electro-mechanical assembly
  • Understanding of electronic component types and packaging (BGA, SOICS, RESISTERS, CAPACITOR Packages, etc)
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with prolonged sitting and working under a microscope
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience operating Wave Solder Equipment
  • Experience operating PCBA Washing machine
