Description
Acara Solutions is seeking a QA Inspector (SMT) in San Jose, CA.
Qualified candidates will have 5 years of soldering experience in Quality Assurance in a PCBA environment.
The candidate will have experience with visual inspection under a magnifier and microscope.
The candidate will be skilled in inspection and using the AOI machine to validate defects.
The pay range for this role is $22.00-26.00 p/hr. DOE.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 5 years of working experience soldering in Quality Assurance with a PCBA background
- Ability to read assembly drawings and Manufacturing Process Instructions (MPIs)
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos
- Must be familiar with IPC-A-610 inspection criteria for PCBA
- Understanding of SMT Inspection Practices and proper Printed Circuit Board handling techniques.
- Understanding ESD and safety practices
- Visual inspection of PCBA under a magnifier and microscope
- Identifying and reporting quality defects.
- Using the AOI machine to validate defects
- Inspecting with an X-ray machine to inspect BGA's solder joints
- Perform detailed final inspection to ensure the quality of the final product before distribution
- Reads, understands and follows work instructions
- Inspect manufacturing products and process setups using first article procedures: work instruction, assembly drawing, travelers, and standards.
- Checking First Article, FAB of PCB, vendor list, revision, and labeling.
- Verify specified value, polarity, color codes, marking of BGA, and pin-through hole parts.
- Receive notice document instructions from customers with feedback regarding Process-Alert or ECO and rework changes that need to be made
- Ability to communicate issues with Managers, Supervisors, and Engineers
- Must pass skills test at Onsite Interview
- We have DAY, Swing, and GRAVEYARD Shifts available
- Available Shifts:
- Day Shift: 5:45 am-2:30 pm
