SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
The Sr. Supply Chain Analyst will have the primary responsibility of reporting and analytical support for Amtrak's (MRO) Supply Chain. This position will work independently and with cross functional counterparts to measure and report supply chain performance relative to various KPIs including PO throughput, demand planning, inventory turnover, and on-time performance, among others. In addition, the role will create user dashboards and develop reports on KPIs and metrics derived from multiple data systems and assist in departmental initiatives and projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Provide data and process analysis support and for projects in Procurement, Logistics, and Planning.
* Design and produce internal reports and metrics to measure, track, and summarize operational performance, trends, efficiencies, and risk.
* Build dashboards to support the supply chain leadership team, including presentation slides, memos, and process documentations.
* Improve turns and service levels through process improvement efforts.
* Use SAP and other tools (i.e., Excel, Access, Tableau) to perform inventory root cause, gap, exception, and performance analysis.
* Ensure integrity of MRP data inputs.
* Perform analysis to identify cost savings and inventory optimization.
* Develop and execute solutions to enhance supply chain operations.
* Create ad-hoc reports at the request of various stakeholders.
* Performs tasks that require sitting for extended periods.
* Requires travel via a variety of modes and work during irregular hours.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's Degree in a Supply Chain, Business, Data Science/Analytics, or related field required OR equivalent combination of training, education and relevant experience in purchaser materials planning, or related fields may be considered in lieu of a degree. Plus 3-6 years of relevant experience.
* Prior experience with visualization tools such as Tableau.
* Expert in Microsoft Excel.
* Understanding of SIOP or S&OP processes
* Prior satisfactory job performance.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, leadership, problem solving, and presentation skills to guide and support members of the assigned unit in achieving goals consistent with departmental and corporate programs.
* Expert in gathering and interpreting complex quantitative and qualitative data using various analytical methods, and able to develop tools for root causing and interpreting supply chain management processes.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills necessary to analyze issues, identify trends, analyze results and make recommendations.
* Experience in a matrix environment and experience promoting a safe workplace.
* Ability to multi-task and handle day-to-day management of a variety of inventory optimization related activities. Adopts hands-on approaches as necessary.
* Proven ability to create and maintain a positive working relationship with peers, team members, and stakeholders.
* Proven knowledge of procurement, inventory management business applications and processes.
* Advance understanding of Inventory Management and Materials Requirements Planning(MRP).


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Master's Degree in a Supply Chain, Business, or related field required OR equivalent combination of training, education and relevant experience in purchase or materials planning or related fields may be considered in lieu of a degree.
* 6+ years of relevant experience required with a degree.
* Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), or other related supply chain certifications.
* Expert knowledge of supply chain, inventory management, commodity management, and supplier management.
* 5+ years of relevant experience with SAP ECC, SAP HANA, or SAP IBP.


COMMUNICATIONS AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:

Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.

The salary/hourly range is $78,600-$101,844. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. Depending on an employee's assigned worksite or location, Amtrak may consider a geo-pay differential to be applied to the employee's base salary. Amtrak may offer additional incentive and pay programs to recognize and reward our employees, including a short-term incentive bonus based upon factors such as individual and company performance that is commensurate with the level of the position and/or long-term incentive plan compensation.
